Google just announced its new product: Google Buzz.
Buzz it’s Google’s attempt to get into the social media space, it uses Gmail as a platform. The service it’s a combination of Twitter and Facebook wall, it allow us to update our status and share content with our friends and the world.
Google Buzz lets you:
- Automatically add you Gmail contacts to your network.
- Share content publicly or privately.
- Gmail Inbox integration, so all your messages go directly into your inbox.
- Attach thumbnails and full sized pictures into any post.
- Connect to other sites like Flickr, Picasa, Twitter, etc.; and import your media.
- See real-time updates without having to refresh your browser window.
It also recommends you posts that you might find interesting.

Buzz also works on cellphones, you can access Google.com from any mobile browser. One of the features it’s that it locates your position with just one click.

Buzz has the potential to become the next big social media, because it integrates the main features of other successful social networks into one platform: Google. But first, it has to persuade the users to try it and add the “social” into its new media.
