It&#8217;s basically a panel that shows you your Internet connection speed and the one of those around you.<span id="more-187"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">At the time it is just informative, and its only purpose is to show you the real speed with which you watch YouTube videos.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.mediogeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/chart_youtube_speed.png"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-1271" title="chart_youtube_speed" src="http://www.mediogeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/chart_youtube_speed-500x272.png" alt="" width="500" height="272" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This isn&#8217;t a new tool around the web, but it is worth mentioning the fact that it has been released by Google, which indicates that it is part of the company&#8217;s efforts to make the Internet a faster net. Considering its new project: <a href="http://www.google.com/appserve/fiberrfi">Google Fiber for Communities</a>, that&#8217;s basically Google&#8217;s incursion into Internet providers business, with the highlight that their network is supposed to be ultra-fast.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="500" height="344" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wusklcNKDZc&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;color2=0xcfcfcf&amp;hl=en_US&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="500" height="344" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wusklcNKDZc&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;color2=0xcfcfcf&amp;hl=en_US&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For those wondering why is Google suddenly so obsessed with speed? Well, the answer is simple: Google&#8217;s vision of the future (and present), it&#8217;s cloud computing, and it has directed all its efforts (like Chrome O.S. or the SPDY protocol) towards a web that concentrates everyone&#8217;s computer information; but to succeed, the data transfer speed must be a lot faster.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Given that Google is the main data and information manager in the web, one doesn&#8217;t have to be a genius to connect the dots&#8230;</p>

<p>Google Buzz for mobiles official video&#8230;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="500" height="340" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/m-kcVDNi6eg&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="500" height="340" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/m-kcVDNi6eg&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
<p style="text-align: justify;">Buzz has the potential to become the next big social media, because it integrates the main features of other successful social networks into one platform: Google. But first, it has to persuade the users to try it and add the &#8220;social&#8221; into its new media.</p>
