Today, at Barcelona, Puma releases its new smartphone, created by Sagem to promote the brand.

The phone is meant to be used by sports people, and it’s main features are:

Solar panel at the back for batery charge.
3.2 megapixel camera. It also includes a front camera with VGA resolution.
Social Media App: Facebook, Flickr y YouTube.
Sports apps, with GPS, pedometer, and other distance measure tools.

As we said earlier the phone is designed for athletes, and isn’t a replace for a smartphone; yet the OS graphic design is superb.

Another plus is that you receive Puma points by sun charging the device; points that you can use at the Puma Store.

If you own a BlackBerry and Tweet a lot, you might be interested in the new official Twitter app for BlackBerry, soon to be released.

Using Twitter in your BlackBerry wasn’t a great experiences, and although it improved with Ubber Twitter, it doesn’t compare with using other apps available for iPhone.

This new app is meant to improve the experience of Twitter and BlackBerry users. The app main features are:

URL shortening.
Easy photo sharing.
New direct messages notification.
Search filtered by geolocation.

The exact date of release is still uncertain, but BlackBerry announced it for later this year.

Motorola Droid Android 2.1 upgrade

Upgrade to version 2.1 of Android mobile O.S. will be available for Motorola Droid users as soon as this week.

New features include:

Google Goggles pre installed.
The browser’s multitouch enabled. Still no Flash.
No interactive home screen or wallpapers.

Apparently, it’s based on the Android 2.1 that runs in the Nexus One, but it’s no quite the same.
